A HOUSE OF SNOW

With all the snow and icy weather we've been having I was reminded of a place on my 'to visit' list - the Ice Hotel in Sweden. Built from scratch each year, and always designed differently. Not sure I could last a night on a block of ice - no matter how many reindeer skins they gave me.

DOOR NUMBER 21

Shortest day of the year - roll on summer. Stonehenge in the snow.

DOOR NUMBER 20

A family favourite - made by the lovely Mrs Cheese

So many lovely things to make this time of year - especially if you like buttons.

DOOR NUMBER 6

Decorated our tree yesterday and thought I would share my vintage 70's angel with you - digging the pink trouser suit!

Sunday 5 December 2010

DOOR NUMBER 5

Today is St Nicholas day in Holland when children leave out a shoe or boot and receive a gift from Sinterklaas. Traditionally chocolate letters are given. They make great stocking fillers too.

Saturday 4 December 2010

DOOR NUMBER 4

Making my door wreath next week - I don't think this one by Martha would last long on my door.

Friday 3 December 2010

DOOR NUMBER 3

It's all white here in Sussex so this is what we've been doing.
